From showroom to finished floor
Most projects start with a visit to the showroom to see the range, handle samples and get a sense of what will work at home. If you find something you like, we’ll arrange a home survey to assess the subfloor, take accurate measurements and talk through any practical considerations before putting together a detailed quote. Once you’re ready to go ahead, we manage the installation from start to finish.
We manage the whole process and keep you informed at every stage. That means a clear quote before anything is ordered, honest advice if anything changes, and installers who turn up when they say they will. The details matter as much as the floor itself.
01
The showroom
Everything begins with a conversation with our showroom teams. Both our Twickenham and Richmond showrooms hold a wide selection across carpet, engineered wood, luxury vinyl tile and stair runners. Our team is there to help you navigate the ranges at your own pace – no appointment necessary, or start with sending an enquiry.
02
Samples
Once you have narrowed things down in our showrooms, if you have an idea of quantities we can provided and indicative idea of pricing. You are also welcome to borrow our large-format samples and live with them at home for a few days before committing. Colours and textures behave differently depending on the light in a specific room. We build this into the process as standard.
03
Confirm your choice
When you are ready, we discuss the specifics. This includes the rooms involved, any considerations for your property type, and a rough timeline. This can happen in the showroom, by phone or by email, whichever suits you.
04
Survey and measurement
Once your product is confirmed, we visit the property to take accurate measurements and assess the subfloor. Where moisture diagnostics or leveling are needed, we identify this at the survey stage and discuss it with you before anything is scheduled. Access, furniture and practical details are all covered at this point. Anything we cannot ascertain will be scheduled for a second survey if you decide to proceed.
05
Your quote
Following the survey we provide a written, itemised quote covering materials, preparation and installation – providing a clear costing for the whole project. If anything from the initial survey was uncertain, we’ll explain an potential cost implications with the quotation. Once confirmed, we schedule the installation date.
06
Installation
Our fitting teams work to a high standard and treat the properties they work in with care. Subfloor preparation is carried out before any flooring is laid. The finished result is inspected before we leave.
07
Aftercare
Both our work and our products carry warranty cover, outlined clearly in our terms and conditions at the point of purchase. Beyond that, we remain available. Questions about maintenance, care or future projects are always welcome – our showroom team is there to help.

A few things people often ask us
How long does the process take from first visit to installation?
It varies depending on the scope of the project and how quickly you want to move. Some customers visit the showroom, take samples, confirm their choice and have everything installed within a few weeks. Others take longer over the selection stage, which is equally fine. Lead times on materials differ by product and supplier, and we will give you a realistic estimate once your choice is confirmed. If you have a specific date in mind – a move, a renovation deadline – let us know early and we will do what we can to work around it.
How long can I keep the samples?
As long as you need. There is no fixed return date and no pressure to decide quickly. We would rather you lived with the samples for a week and came back certain than returned them in two days and spent the next ten years looking at a floor you are not quite sure about. If you want to try additional options after seeing the first set at home, you are welcome to swap them out.
What happens if a problem is found during the survey?
We tell you about it clearly and discuss the options before any work is scheduled. Subfloor issues – moisture, unevenness, movement – are not uncommon, particularly in older properties, and dealing with them properly before installation is what protects your floor in the long term. If preparation work is needed, it will be reflected in the quote with a straightforward explanation. Nothing proceeds without your approval.
Do I need to be at home during the installation?
Yes. We ask that someone is present for the duration of the installation, both so that access is straightforward and so that any questions can be answered on the day. We will walk you through the finished work before we leave, which is easier if you are there to see it in person. If your schedule is complicated, let us know when booking and we will try to find an arrangement that works.
Do you move furniture as part of the installation?
We ask customers to clear the rooms being fitted before installation day where possible. Our fitters work to a high standard and their time on site is best spent on the floor itself rather than moving furniture. If there are specific items you need help with, raise it when the installation is booked and we will discuss what is practical. For larger projects we can advise on what preparation is needed in advance.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a deposit is required to confirm your order and secure the installation date. The amount and payment terms will be set out clearly in your quote. We will ask for the balance once the installation is complete and you are happy with the result. If you have any questions about payment at any stage, our team is straightforward to reach at either showroom.
You’re in safe hands
We’re not much for bragging, but we do take our craft seriously. These awards and accreditations are just a bit of independent proof that we’re committed to doing things the right way. For you, it’s simply a guarantee that from the moment you step into our showroom to the day your floor is finished, you’re dealing with a team that meets the highest industry standards for quality and care.
